Content Management Systems

Known as a CMS, a content management system draws your site’s content from a password-protected, server-side database (which means that your data is stored online). You can log into your control panel at any time, whenever you need to add or change the information your site visitors will see. You can also assign the task of updating page information to your staff or team members. You’ll find such a system highly useful for posting news items, adding or updating biographical information, listing events, and more.

Would you like to take a test drive? I’ve put together a CMS Model Site, one whose content you can edit right now. Here’s all you have to do:

  1. Click here to bring up the CMS Model Site.
  2. Click on the admin link at the bottom of any page you wish to modify.
  3. Enter the username and password of public and guest, respectively.
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions to add or change content.
  5. Enjoy continued access to the update pages until you close your browser (upon revisiting the CMS Model Site, however, you will need to enter the username and password again).

If you want your Web site to have this kind of capability, please contact me for more information.
