The appliances, which were purchased from a nearby Sears department store, were brought to Ms. Hertensteiner's home by two handtruck-wielding delivery men. Pulling up to her apartment in a white box truck, the men wheeled in the washer and dryer, set them in the kitchen, and offered simple cautions on the use of the devices. For months, Debra endured sickening fumes every time she used her condo's laundry facility. Despite her own use of natural cleaning products, residues from others' noxious detergents still permeated her laundry. "I feel like 'Susie Homemaker,'" admitted Ms. Hertensteiner. "But at least I won't have to endure the toxic cleaners and softeners my disgusting neighbors insist on using". Ms. Hertensteiner was so elated she tipped the delivery men ten dollars, despite the fact that her appliances arrived one week late, and that the delivery men themselves reeked of toxic laundry fumes. Guests at her condo--which is located at 7F Nova Drive in the Twin Lakes housing community--are encouraged to disrobe (kimonos provided) and to launder their garments in Debra's new machines. If you'd like to partake of a unique, nontoxic, clothes-washing experience, contact Debra Hertensteiner at (609)123-4567, or via e-mail, at Debrasemail@xyz.com. |
